Wills and Estates Mediation

Disputes about wills and deceased estates often involve grief, important financial interests and longstanding family relationships. If they are not resolved early, they can lead to significant legal costs, delay and further damage to family relationships.

Wills and Estates Mediation provides a confidential process in which beneficiaries, executors and other interested family members can clarify the issues, consider the available options and negotiate a practical settlement. Parties can participate with or without lawyers present, and we regularly run multi-party sessions so everyone concerned can be involved.

Sessions are conducted online or at our premises in the Sydney CBD.

Areas we can help with:

  • Family Provision Claims

  • Challenges to the validity of a will

  • Verbal promises or expectations concerning an inheritance

  • Preserving relationships between family members

  • Disputes between Executors and Beneficiaries

  • The division or sale of estate property

  • Distribution of personal items and family heirlooms

  • Informal loans, gifts or family financial arrangements

  • Disputes between Co-Executors

  • Disputes over enduring powers of attorney

  • Disputes involving enduring guardians
